Well,
well...I'm impressed. After all that chit chat on the home
page, you're still interested in reading more. Fantastic!
I'll start with my last
name. It's tricky. Linauer
is pronounced lin-our
with the stress on the first syllable. That's not so hard,
right?
I love interior
deign--everything about it. I'm passionate about colors,
fabric, great furniture, gorgeous draperies, beautiful lighting.
I mean, I love it all. I
developed
this love for
interior design at a
very early age. As a young girl, my love for all things artistic was
fostered by my mother, who was an accomplished artist and a well-respected
photographer. Even today, although she's retired, I'm still astounded by
her incredible talent.
As a teenager,
I began to realize that I had a talent
for decorating that was appreciated by others when friends, neighbors, and even
friends' mothers began to seek my decorating advice. As I helped others
with their interiors, I began a life-long passion for creating beautiful
rooms.
After graduating from Dallas Baptist
University in 1995, I took the opportunity to travel to several several
countries in Africa, Asia and Europe, and even lived overseas for year-and-a-half.
My travels gave me a deeper love and appreciation for
historical and international architecture and decor.
In the
summer of 2005, I returned to Waco with my husband, Matt, and in the
fall of that same year, I established Kristi Linauer Interiors.
In addition to working
with my clients, I am also the author/editor of the interior
decorating/interior deign
blog and website
Addicted 2 Decorating, which has an international
readership with approximately 55,000 visits per month. My
Addicted 2 Decorating blog and website really are my pet projects,
and I thoroughly enjoy passing along helpful information and tips to
people, and teaching people how to have beautiful homes on a budget.
